Creating a Chamber Policy Object
You may create a Chamber Policy Object from Chamber Policy Management > Chamber Policy Objects. Click "Chamber Policy Object +" at the top of the screen to bring up a dialog for creating a Chamber Policy Object.
Type
Specifies whether you are creating an individual Object or an Template.
Name
Choose a short, descriptive name to help explain the purpose of this Chamber Policy Object.
Description
Optional description field allowing you to provide more context about the Chamber Policy Object and its creation.
Direction
Specifies whether the Policy Object is to apply to traffic inbound to the Application, or outbound from the Application.
Source Address
Enables you to specify an Address Object to filter the source address of packets.
Destination Address
Enables you to specify an Address Object to filter the destination address of packets.
Local Application
Enables you to specify an Application Process Object to filter the software application running on the local machine. For inbound packets, this filters which application(s) can be the recipient of a packet; for outbound packets, this filters which application(s) can generate traffic.
Service
The Service selector allows your to specify a Service Port Object to filter a packet's destination address based on protocol/port.
Policy Action
Allows you to select whether to allow or block a matching packet, and whether or not to generate a log in the relevant Violation Log.
The Do Not Inspect (DNI) setting completely bypasses all further security checks for a matching packet and should be reserved only for the most fundamental or basic accesses.
Once you have completed configuring the Chamber Policy Object, click Save.
